The design tries to challenge one of the most mundane programs. In this case, the Harajuku station is chosen. There is a plan to rebuild this station in the future anyway. The site is in a very interesting condition. The Omotesando St and Takeshita St directly lead to it. The first one is known for its luxury shopping experience. The second one is famous for its livelihood and almost chaot- ic feeling. The west side of the site is Meiji shrine which is filled with big trees up to 22 meters or even higher. The design tries to use the principles and techniques discov- ered in the research and apply as much as possible. In general, it aims to achieve the purpose that even if people are not using the station or even the other programs such as shops in the proposal, they can enjoy the walk in the proposed design and gain some peace of mind.
